Yvette Payne, APRN, MSN, MBA, Phd(c)

Executive Director Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations

Yvette Payne has over 30 years of experience in healthcare in a variety of roles, including clinical practice, pharmaceuticals, and medical diagnostics. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She is currently completing a PhD in Public Health / Epidemiology.

Yvette has built, from the ground up, and led Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations departments and teams at the Vice President (VP) level. As an advanced practice nurse, she worked in academia at MD Anderson Cancer Center in a variety of roles, including as a lung cancer research nurse and as a developer and manager of a medical breast cancer clinic. She also worked in community oncology, at US Oncology, where she led clinical practice guideline development and health economics and outcome studies.

Yvette started her career in Medical Affairs at Johnson and Johnson as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and quickly rose in ranks to an Associate Director of MSLs. She then moved to Cephalon (now Teva) to serve as Director and then later as Senior Director of MSLs oncology ― building the MSL function and other parts of the oncology Medical Affairs department. Prior to the Cephalon position, Yvette hired and managed a contract MSL/Clinical Trial Liaison team for Heron Therapeutics before joining them permanently as the VP of Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations, again building those functions from the ground up. Yvette later served in a leadership role at Pierian Biosciences, acting as the VP of Medical, Clinical, and Laboratory Operations.

Today, Yvette is the Executive Director of Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations at TriNet Pharma, a respected placement agency dedicated exclusively to filling permanent and contract Medical Affairs positions in the U.S. and Europe. Yvette partners with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies to establish strategic partnerships.

When Yvette is not studying for her PhD, she loves to run, kayak, and travel. She is passionate about lending her experience to candidates and companies to ensure their success.
