Bryan Vaughan | In Memoriam
In 2009, Bryan Vaughan envisioned establishing a consultative approach to placing MSLs. His vision was based on a hybrid model developed during his years in physician and bio search. Determined to turn his vision into a reality, Bryan and his wife Mara started a new type of recruiting firm and together with principal investor Terry Mulloy, they founded TriNet Pharma.
Bryan was fueled by his passion for science and his love for his family. He always told Mara that if he could go back and do it again, he would be a Medical Science Liaison. He was a champion of the MSL, and he knew the importance they played in the development of life-saving drugs, diagnostics, and devices. He started TriNet with the goals to help the life sciences industry through a better placement model and to support his family.
Sadly, we lost Bryan in April 2020. Despite being a young and healthy 41-year old, Bryan was unable to access reliable testing. When he was admitted to the hospital, after suffering a heart attack, he was placed on a ventilator and never recovered. His death was confirmed as the result of the COVID-19 virus. He left behind his wife Mara and their three (3) children: Mia, McKinlea, and Collin.
Under Bryan’s leadership Trinet grew into a world-class firm dedicated exclusively to the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, and diagnostic industries. Trinet enjoyed year-over-year exponential growth and a reputation for excellence that remains today. Following his death, Terry Mulloy became CEO, and now Mara Vaughan joins the leadership team as President.
TriNet is honored to memorialize and celebrate the life of its founder and visionary. Today, the company still embodies the values and vision he began. Mara and all of the employees of TriNet Pharma are proud to lead the company into the future.
TriNet has established a legacy grant in Bryan’s name to pay tribute to his entrepreneurial spirit and his dedication to being a leader in the life sciences industry. Just as the medical affairs space is adapting and changing to meet the needs of the industry, yearly Mara, in her husband’s honor, will determine the best place to award the grant.
